Name Change
As of 14th January 2008, MedCare Systems Pty. Ltd. will become TeleMedCare Pty. Ltd.. This will facilitate the internationalisation of the company with our UK and Australian companies now having the same name.

Wireless Telecare in the Home
The trialing of a wireless health application in the home has now been completed. This programme was fully supported by collaborative partners, Biomedical Systems Laboratory (UNSW), ACT Health: The Canberra Hospital and ITOL - managed by the Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts (DCITA).
Frail elderly and congestive heart failure patients from the ACT private and public health system, participated in the project, under ethics approvals granted by Canberra Hospital and UNSW. Reports on health messaging protocols and on the final trial summary are available.
The collaborating partners in this development acknowledge the support of DCITA and their staff in the deployment of the new devices.

A trial of the TeleMedCare multi-user system in five separate Residential Aged Care Facilities in three States has successfully concluded. The trial was funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health. Full details of trial findings can be supplied by contacting TeleMedCare. |

TeleMedCare is pleased to announce that the final phase of its programme for testing wireless health applications in the home has commenced. This programme is fully supported by collaborative partners VitalCall (Chubb), Biomedical Systems Laboratory (UNSW), ACT Health: The Canberra Hospital and ITOL - managed by the Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts (DCITA).
TeleMedCare and its partners are now receiving data from patients that has been collected and transferred by wireless devices in their home. In an innovative approach, the collaborative partners have patients spread across two cities - Sydney and Canberra - with data being collected in one location. Patient care is coordinated according the information being collected by each device resulting in improved health outcomes. |
